Water main break leads to boil water advisory for parts of Myrtle Beach
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – A boil water advisory in place for parts on Myrtle Beach on Friday.
The advisory applies to four blocks of North Kings Highway after a water main break at the intersection of Kings Highway and Mr. Joe White Avenue.

A contractor accidentally hit a 16-inch water main while doing improvements to the intersection, according to the city of Myrtle Beach.
Properties fronting the east side of Kings Highway between Mr. Joe White Avenue and 14th Avenue North are advised to boil all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes.
The advisory will be lifted once safe test results on the water are returned, which usually happens within 24 hours.
