Community Champion: Brian Mitchell

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – One of our community champions you may have recognized while on the beach.
Myrtle Beach Ocean Rescue Battalion Chief Brian Mitchell has become a familiar face along the Grand Strand beaches.
He has been with the Myrtle Beach Fire Department for 20 years where he first started as a probationary firefighter and then worked his way up the ranks.
“It’s nice to always work outside, it was always my dream, and interact with the community and all the visitors that come down,” said Mitchell.
