HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – Horry County Fire Rescue is asking people to avoid Socastee Boulevard due to a crash.

Crews were called around 3:30 p.m. to Socastee Boulevard and Cimmeron Drive for a five-vehicle crash.

They said one person was transported to the hospital with injuries.

Drivers are being asked to stay away from the area to avoid delays and also for the safety of HCFR crews.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
