MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - Another round of rain returns to the area tonight into early Wednesday before clearing and dryer weather returns to end the week.
The next rain-maker quickly overspread the region late this evening and overnight. Rain will begin after sunset and turn steady at times through the night. Periods of heavy rain will be possible at times. Temperatures tonight will range from near 47 at the beaches to 43 across the Pee Dee.
Wednesday will start off with steady rain and lingering areas of heavy downpours at times. However, rain will quickly start to taper off during the late morning hours and end by midday.
As drier air rushes in on the back side of the storm system, even the clouds will start to break up by the afternoon with peeks of sunshine turning likely. Morning temperatures in the 40s will warm into the middle and upper 50s by the mid to late afternoon.
The rest of the week will feature dry weather. Thursday will see high temperatures climbing into the 60s under mostly sunny skies.
Cooler weather starts to filter in by Friday with daytime temperatures returning to the 50s. The cooler weather will remain in place through the weekend. Nighttime temperatures will drop into the middle and upper 30s with areas of frost possible.
