Florence police investigate apparent drive-by shooting; no injuries reported

FLORENCE, S.C. (WMBF) – The Florence Police Department is investigating an apparent drive-by shooting early Tuesday morning.

A press release from Florence police states officers responded to a report of shots fired around 1:50 a.m. in the 2800 block of Boardwalk.

Witnesses reported that a vehicle drove by and opened fire.

Police said no one was injured, but three residences and four vehicles were damaged by gunfire.

The white Chevy Z71 truck pictured above is believed to be involved in the shooting, according to the release.

Police said the vehicle has a sun roof and brush-guard that extends around the headlights.
