FIRST ALERT: National Weather Service confirms EF-3 tornado in Brunswick County
Deadly tornado strikes the North Carolina coast

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Crews from the National Weather Service have confirmed last night’s tornado in Brunswick County, North Carolina as an EF-3.

Survey crews have determined the tornado was an EF-3 with winds of 160 mph.

The tornado first touched down at 11:39 PM 4 miles north of Sunset Beach, NC.
