MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - Rain will come to an end by daybreak on Thursday as chilly and blustery weather returns.
Periods of light rain, mist and drizzle will continue this evening and through the night with some briefly heavy showers possible at times. Temperatures will gradually drop into the upper 30s to near 40 by sunrise on Thursday.
As dry and chilly weather continues to move in, skies will clear by the mid to late morning hours on Thursday with sunny skies by the afternoon. Despite the sunshine, it will be a chilly day with afternoon temperatures only reaching the upper 40s.
Thursday night will be very cold as temperatures drop into the upper 20s along the Grand Strand and into the middle 20s across the Pee Dee.
The colder weather lingers through Friday and Saturday as well with daytime temperatures in the 40s to near 50.
Our next weather maker arrives by Sunday afternoon. Clouds will start to thicken as early as late Saturday and rain returns to the forecast by Sunday afternoon and evening. Along with the rain, milder temperatures will return with temperatures climbing into the 50s to near 60 by Sunday afternoon.
