MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Cloudy skies will finally clear for a sunny and cool weekend.
Lingering clouds will clear through the evening as cooler and dryer weather returns to the area. Temperatures tonight will drop into the middle 30s across the Pee Dee and upper 30s to near 40 across the Grand Strand.
Saturday will see sunny skies all day along with a gusty breeze and cool afternoon temperatures. Readings will climb to near 50 by the afternoon as winds occasionally gust to around 25 mph.
Saturday night will be clear and quite cold. Temperatures along the Grand Strand will drop into the lower 30s. Inland areas will drop into the upper 20s to near 30.
Sunday will be another cool day with temperatures near 50. Sunny skies in the morning will give way to increasing clouds by late in the day.
More active weather returns next week with a warm up that may send temperatures to near 70 by Tuesday along with increasing chances of rain at times.
