MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – Publix said appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine are fully booked in South Carolina, just one day after announcing they would be administering the shot.
Eligible customers were able to register for vaccine appointments online beginning at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
As of 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, a check of the store’s website shows all appointment times were booked across the Palmetto State.
Publix is also administering the vaccine in Florida and Georgia.
The following persons are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in S.C. by appointment only:
- Healthcare workers
- Adults aged 70 years and older
- Residents and staff of long-term care facilities
- South Carolina state/local government employees and contractors who are critical to the administration of COVID-19 vaccinations and testing
