DILLON COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - One person was killed and two others were hurt following a crash in Dillon County, according to authorities.

LCpl. Tyler Tidwell with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the wreck happened at 4 p.m. Thursday on Mount Calvary Road near Black Oak Place. Tidwell said a silver, four-door car was traveling east on Mount Calvary Road when it ran off the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver of the vehicle was killed in the crash and two other occupants were ejected from the vehicle. Both were transported to the hospital, according to Tidwell.

SCHP is investigating the crash.
