DARLINGTON, S.C. (WMBF) - A man connected to a shooting in Darlington is now in custody, according to authorities.
Darlington Police Chief Kelvin Washington said Ahmad Rashad Sellers is behind bars in connection to an incident that happened Tuesday on East Avenue at around 11 p.m.
Washington said a verbal and physical altercation resulted in someone being shot. He added that the victim is currently recovering as a result of the incident.
Sellers was taken into custody Wednesday by the Darlington Police Department and the SERT Team of the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office, according to Washington. He’s charged with attempted murder and could face additional charges.
Sellers is being held at the Darlington County Detention Center. His bond has not been set as of Thursday evening.
