MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - Milder temperatures and a quick round of showers arrive on Friday.
Tonight will be clear and cool with temperatures dropping into the lower to middle 30s across the Pee Dee and to near 40 along the Grand Strand.
Friday will start off with plenty of sunshine, but will be followed by increasing clouds through the day as a cold front moves through the Carolinas. Skies will become cloudy by the early afternoon. As the front moves into the region, showers will move in during the afternoon and last through the evening. No heavy rain is expected and the showers will not last long. Despite increasing clouds and showers, Friday will be a warm day with afternoon temperatures near 60.
Cooler and blustery weather will return for the weekend. Saturday will see a mix of sun and clouds and a gusty wind with temperatures near 50. Sunday will be less windy with sunny skies and afternoon temperatures in the upper 40s to near 50.
On the backside of this front, we will be looking at cooler weather flowing into the Carolinas. The weekend will start in the mid-upper 30s on Saturday morning. Highs will reach the upper 40s to near 50 on both Saturday and Sunday with even cooler weather arriving Sunday morning as many start the day in the upper 20s to lower 30s.
