Man killed during attempted home invasion in Robeson County, deputies say

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WMBF) – A man was killed during an attempted home invasion Tuesday night in Robeson County, deputies say.

Authorities were called to the 4000 block of West Carthage Road just after 11 p.m. for reports of a person shot, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found 34-year-old Sylvester D. Hunt dead at the front door, the release stated.

According to authorities, no charges will be filed against the homeowner.

The investigation is ongoing.
