ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WMBF) – Robeson County students will continue with virtual learning for at least another month.
The Public Schools of Robeson County Board of Education unanimously passed Superintendent Freddie Williamson’s recommendation to extend virtual learning across the district until Feb. 16.
The board voted on the matter Tuesday night.
District spokesperson Glen Burnette III said the board will revisit the decision at the Feb. 9 board meeting.
If students return to the classroom in mid-February, it would be for Pre-K to 12th grade on the A/B schedule, according to Burnette III.
The spokesperson reiterated that the situation is fluid and could change in response to COVID-19 metrics in the county.
