MARION COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster has ordered that flags on all state buildings be lowered to half-staff in honor of a fallen Marion County deputy.
Deputy Jonathan David Price, 29, was one of two people killed in a crash on Jan. 6.
According to the governor’s office, flags will fly at half-staff from sunrise until sunset on Wednesday, Jan. 12.
“Deputy Jonathan David Price was an outstanding public servant and a loving husband and father. My heart goes out to the Price family during this tragic time and I ask everyone to join me and Peggy in lifting his family in prayer,” McMaster tweeted.
Visitation for Price will be held Tuesday, Jan. 11, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Dillon. A funeral service will also be held at the church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, with burial at Price Cemetery.
Price leaves behind a wife and three small children.
