MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - A new date is set for a military flag ceremony in Myrtle Beach.
The ceremony on the boardwalk was set to take place last week, but was postponed due to weather.
Myrtle Beach city leaders said the ceremony to raise flags for the six branches of military service on the boardwalk will take place on Thursday, Jan. 14, at 12 p.m.
According to officials, the six military service flags – Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and Space Force - will all be flown.
The event aims to honor military men and women, and recognize the military heritage of the Myrtle Beach area.
