HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – Police announced that charges are forthcoming in reference to an ‘animal-related investigation’ that took place Wednesday in Horry County.
According to information from the Horry County Police Department, a large quantity of animals were seized after a search warrant was executed at a property along Highway 90 near Conway.
A video from the HCPD shows the animals at the Horry County Animal Care Center, where they were transported for care, according to authorities.
The animals seized included horses, exotic birds, reptiles and guineafowl, the HCPD stated.
“These animals are not currently available for adoption or rescue due to the ongoing investigation,” a Thursday tweet from the HCPD stated.
