MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – A man is behind bars after he was accused of punching a Myrtle Beach police officer.
A police report states that on Saturday an officer had stopped the suspect, identified as Alexander Robinson, on Broadway Street for suspicious activity when he learned Robinson had a warrant out of Richland County.
Robinson then punched the officer in the face and there was a brief scuffle, according to the incident report.
The officer was able to detain Robinson and place him under arrest.
He is charged with assault on a police officer. He is currently in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center under a $10,000 bond.
