MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – Curbside pickup of natural Christmas trees along the Grand Strand begins this week.
Myrtle Beach staff said crews will pick up Christmas trees at curbside to take them to be recycled.
Next month, the trees will be ground by the Horry County Solid Waste Authority and be turned into landscaping mulch available to the community for free.
Residents are reminded to remove all decorations and tree stands.
For those living in North Myrtle Beach, the city is offering a similar service.
All residents have to do there is leave their tree curbside on their normal garbage collection day.
