PACOLET, S.C. (WYFF/WMBF) - The coroner’s office is investigating after fetal remains were found inside a wall in a Pacolet home.
According to NBC affiliate WYFF in Greenville, Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger said his office was called to a home on Milliken Street in Pacolet Saturday night, about possible remains being found.
Clevenger said when they arrived, they saw fetal human skeletal remains in a wall.
The remains will be submitted to a forensic anthropologist for more information, Clevenger said.
“Based on our limited information, it is believed the remains have been concealed for a long period of time,” Clevenger said in a release.
He said anthropology exams take much longer than pathology exams, so it could take several months to get the report back.
