NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – Several local law enforcement agencies offered their condolences after a North Myrtle Beach officer was killed in a crash early Friday morning.
Officials said Sgt. Gordon William Best, 30, was responding to a shots fired call when he lost control of his vehicle and collided with a utility pole. He was pronounced dead on scene.
