Timmonsville swears in new chief of police

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Thomas McFadden was sworn in as Timmonsville’s Police Chief Tuesday morning, according to a Facebook post by the town.

McFadden replaces the outgoing Police Chief Billy Brown.

Brown is set to leave the department at the end of the year for retirement.

Photos posted to the town’s Facebook page show Brown was presented with a plaque for his years of dedication to the department.
