Repairs to concrete barrier along U.S. 501 bridge in Conway complete

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - The repairs to a safety barrier along the U.S. 501 bridge in Conway are now complete.
Crews with the South Carolina Department of Transportation spent Tuesday morning removing the “cast” or mold which held the concrete in place as it dried.
The barrier was damaged when a tractor-trailer went off the bridge and fell to the river below.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was charged with driving too fast for conditions.
