MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – Ahoy, mateys! There be fun on the horizon!
For all the little swashbucklers across the Grand Strand, a new pirate ship will soon be available to enjoy at one of Myrtle Beach’s oceanfront parks.
According to information from the city, the pirate ship is under construction at Gardens by the Sea, which is located on North Ocean Boulevard, at the south end of the cabana section.
City staff are replacing the original playground with a new pirate-themed climbing structure, two spring-mounted dolphin riders and other play equipment.
It’s one of two playground renovations underway this month, with the other taking place at Chapin Park, city officials said.
