Groundbreaking for new Surfside Beach Pier postponed due to weather

SURFSIDE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – The groundbreaking ceremony for the new Surfside Beach Pier has been postponed due to weather, officials said.

The ceremony was originally scheduled for Monday morning.

According to the town of Surfside Beach, the ceremony will now take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 7.
