MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Officials have identified one person who died in a crash that left three others hurt in Horry County late last month.

The Horry County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Shereeca Baker, 30, of Myrtle Beach. Horry County Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden added that while Baker lived in Myrtle Beach, she was originally from Dothan, Alabama.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the driver ran off the road and overturned at around 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 31. Officials said the crash happened on Highway 701 in the area of Old Bucksville Road. All four people inside the vehicle were ejected, and the incident only involved one vehicle.

McSpadden said the release of the information was delayed due to Baker’s next-of-kin being seriously injured in the crash and is still recovering.

SCHP continues to investigate the crash.
