MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – A new walking bridge could soon be coming to The Market Common.

The walking bridge would be located across the outfall from the Thunderbolt Park lake on Farrow Parkway, according to the city of Myrtle Beach.

“The bridge will allow pedestrians and bicyclists to cross the waterway at the western end of the lake, thus completing the new path which is under construction now around Thunderbolt Park,” the city said on Facebook.

Officials said the city has applied for a $100,000 state grant for the bridge’s construction, but a 20% local match is required.
