FLORENCE, S.C. (WMBF) – An investigation is underway in the Florence area after three people were shot Wednesday, according to police.
Florence police Capt. Mike Brandt confirmed the shooting allegedly happened on the 500 block of Gaillard Street. A heavy police presence was also seen from Gaillard Street, as well as an area of East Walnut Street.
WMBF News reporter Cameron Crowe was near the scene and saw an officer blocking the entrance to the area where the investigation is taking place.
The three victims were taken to the hospital, and the investigation is ongoing and in its early stages, according to Brandt.
