Green Sea Floyds boys’ basketball teams under quarantine due to COVID-19

CDC recommends masks in public settings

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – The Green Sea Floyds High School boys' junior varsity and varsity basketball teams are under quarantine due to COVID-19, district officials said.

Horry County Schools spokesperson Lisa Bourcier said via email an individual associated with the team tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The teams will be quarantined for 14 days, while the positive individual will quarantine for 10 days per protocol from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, according to Bourcier.

According to the Horry County Schools COVID-19 dashboard, there are currently 55 COVID-19 cases in the district. Thirty-eight of those are student cases and 17 are staff cases.
