GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WMBF) – The Georgetown Police Department announced that another suspect has been captured in a homicide investigation.
David Green was located on Tuesday outside of Augusta, Georgia by the U.S. Marshal’s Service and taken into custody.
He faces murder and attempted robbery charges in connection to Terrence Pinckney’s shooting death back in October.
Police said they were called to the Bethel Apartments in Georgetown where they found Pinckney suffering from several gunshot wounds.
Authorities determined that Green had left South Carolina in an effort to avoid prosecution.
“These senseless acts of violence will not be tolerated in our community and we will exhaust every resource to bring them to justice,” said Georgetown Police Chief Kelvin Waites.
Green is now awaiting extradition to Georgetown.
Zaviion Woodward, Jerry Williams Jr. and a juvenile have also been arrested and charged in the case.
