DHEC: Over 900 new COVID-19 cases in S.C., 13 additional deaths

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WMBF) – The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control announced Thursday 918 new COVID-19 cases, and 13 additional deaths.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state to 166,344, and confirmed deaths to 3,645.

In Horry County, state health officials announced 48 new COVID-19 cases and two additional deaths, both of which occurred in elderly individuals, according to DHEC.

The total number of individual test results reported to DHEC statewide Wednesday was 6,945 (not including antibody tests) and the percent positive was 13.2%.
