CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) – The residents and staff at Conway Manor got to say thanks to first responders and were treated to a ‘hero parade’ on Wednesday.
Dozens of residents were lined up outside of the nursing home with thank-you cards and goody bags for local police officers and firefighters.
“They’re protecting our community and the people who live around in the area. So, it’s just important for us to recognize those who’ve helped us be successful. It’s an opportune to be able to sit there and say ‘Thank you for what you’ve done,’” administrator Jim Wooddell said.
During the parade, residents and staff wore face masks.
