25-year-old woman dead after vehicle hits tree in Marlboro County

MARLBORO COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – A woman was killed after her vehicle struck a tree Wednesday night in Marlboro County.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, troopers were dispatched to a crash around 6:20 p.m. on Brickyard Road.

Master Trooper Brian Lee with SCHP said a 2016 Toyota 4 Runner was heading east on Brickyard Road when the driver went off the left side of the road and hit a tree, killing the driver.

Marlboro County Coroner Tim Brown identified the driver as Lena Ann Quick, 25, of Bennettsville.
