Horry County highway near state line reopened after 18-wheeler flipped on its side

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – A flipped 18-wheeler blocked a road in Horry County close to the state line for the majority of Friday morning.

According to a tweet from Horry County Fire Rescue, the 18-wheeler flipped on its side around 7:50 a.m. on Highway 57.

The tractor-trailer affected nearby utility lines, firefighters said. No injuries were reported.

A tweet from HCFR that was posted around 12:45 p.m. Friday stated Highway 57 had reopened to traffic.
