Authorities find ‘non-verbal’ Horry County man safe in Georgetown County

CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) – A 29-year-old man who can’t speak and went missing early Thursday morning was reunited with his family later in the afternoon.

According to a press release from the Horry County Police Department, Roy Hardee was last seen around 5 a.m. in the 500 block of Woodland Drive near Murrells Inlet.

HCSO officials said Hardee was found safe in Georgetown County by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.

He was reunited with his parents and siblings around 1:05 p.m., officials said.
