LORIS, SC (WMBF) – The race between the top two candidates in Loris’ mayoral election is just too close to call.

According to the unofficial results in Tuesday’s election, Todd M. Harrelson received 182 votes while Michael E. Suggs had 181 votes.

A runoff will be held Tuesday, June 11.

The election comes following the death of Mayor Henry Nichols on Feb. 26.
