Boat on trailer catches fire at Pawleys Island boat landing

PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WMBF) – No injuries were reported after a boat caught fire Friday morning at Hagley Landing in Pawleys Island.
According to a tweet from Midway Fire Rescue, crews responded at 10:50 a.m. for a trailered boat that had caught fire. It was under control after 10 minutes.
Absorbent booms were then used to prevent fuel from reaching the river, and no leak was detected, Midway Fire tweeted.
