HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – A woman was arrested over the weekend after police allegedly found a loaded gun in her carry-on bag at the Myrtle Beach International Airport.

Rebecca Anne Swords, 71, of Wheeling, W. Va., is charged with carrying a weapon in a restricted place.

On Saturday morning, TSA agents found the firearm in Swords’ purse during the screening process, according to an Horry County police report.

Swords was escorted to a private screening room where police removed the gun from the purse and rendered it safe, the report states.

Jail records show Swords was released from the J. Reuben Long Detention Center at around 5:00 p.m. Saturday on $250 bond.
