ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WMBF) – The suspect wanted in connection to the shooting death of a 29-year-old man has been arrested, according to an online post from the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.
Nicholas Locklear, 21, surrendered to authorities on Sunday and has been charged with first-degree murder.
On the morning of May 17, deputies say they responded to a home on Chris Road where they found Mitchell D. Emanuel suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emanuel was transported to Southeastern Medical Center and died from his injuries, the post states.
Locklear is currently being held at the Robeson County Detention Center without bond.
