MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The summer streak of heat and humidity shows no signs of slowing down this week. Temperatures continue to remain 5° to 10° above average for mid May
Low temperatures tonight stay muggy and close to 70°. Monday will remain mostly humid, with only a small chance of an isolated afternoon shower. High temperatures stay in the low 80s along the beaches but easily make it to the 90s inland.
Another small chance of rain arrives on Tuesday evening, but it will provide very little relief for many from the widespread heat and humidity. Highs Tuesday will be similar to Monday in the low 80s along the coast and low 90s inland.
Recent trends pick up on a small break from the humidity Wednesday and possibly Thursday. Highs stay in the middle to low 90s in the Pee Dee and middle 80s along the coast.
Memorial Day weekend: The heat and humidity really crank up. Expect mostly dry skies, but prepare for the heat index upwards of 95° to 100° starting Friday through Sunday.
