MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Our taste of summer has only just begun. The temperatures and humidity stay higher through the rest of the weekend and even ramp up to feeling like 100 into the end of next week.
Tonight stays muggy, as overnight lows stay near 70 into Sunday morning. The humidity and temperatures will be a touch lower, throughout the day, but highs will still reach mid 80s along the coast and near 90 inland.
Drier skies are expected, with lower chances of any showers than we had on Saturday. Ont thing that will help us feel better tomorrow will be the winds, a bit breezy at times around 10 to 15 mph out of the southwest. Rip current risk remains low for any beachgoers.
Looking ahead, this pattern of hot, humid and dry continues all week. Highs will be in the middle 80s along the coast and low 90s inland through Thursday. Each night will be muggy too, with overnight lows in the low 70s.
By Friday and into Memorial Day weekend, we crank the heat (and the indoor AC) up even more! Highs will reach into the upper 80s along the coast and upper 90s inland in the Pee Dee. Heat index values soar into the low 100s so be sure to stay safe and hydrated into the weekend.
