ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WMBF) – The man charged in the death of 13-year-old Hania Aguilar has been indicted.
According to the Robeson County Clerk of Court, Michael McLellan was indicted on a first-degree murder charge. It is not clear when the indictment was handed down.
Authorities said Hania Aguilar was kidnapped from her home on Nov. 5, 2018. Her body was found a few weeks later, partially submerged in a muddy pit, according to an autopsy report.
McLellan has been charged with ten felonies, including first-degree murder, first-degree forcible rape, first-degree kidnapping and concealment of death in connection to Aguilar’s murder.
McLellan is due in court on June 3.
