FIRST ALERT: Heat and humidity ramping up into the weekend

Sean's Friday AM WX

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - It will feel warmer today as the humidity starts to feel more noticeable.

An area of high pressure will continue to sit off shore, bringing back the summer-like pattern for the end of this week and into next week. Highs will climb into the low-mid 80s on the beach today. Highs inland will make a run for 90 degrees.

The humidity will remind us of summer and make temperatures feel warmer than they actually are.

Despite the increase in humidity, our forecast will remain rain-free as we head into the weekend and into next week. Highs this weekend will range in the mid 80s on the beach. Look for the lower 90s in Florence and other inland areas.

This summer-like pattern will keep similar temperatures in the forecast as we return to work on Monday. There is still no decent rain chance in sight. We will continue to monitor the dry conditions over the next week. Here’s where we stand right now.

Rainfall will remain low over the next seven days so we will have to watch our drought conditions with the heat and dry stretch of weather.
