Darlington County deputies seized drugs, a gun and video surveillance from a home in Hartsville

HARTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) – A convicted felon is back behind bars again after deputies said they found a stolen gun and drugs at a home.

Authorities served a search warrant Wednesday morning at a home on Westover Drive.

Sheriff Tony Chavis said deputies found methamphetamine, pills, a stolen Smith and Wesson .38 caliber revolver, ammunition, money, weight scales, syringes and a video surveillance system.

Authorities arrested Marion Wendell “Dale” Brown, 33, and charged him with trafficking methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

“Twice within a month, my Investigators have located drugs and guns at Dale Brown’s home, along with a stolen gun this morning,” Chavis said. “We received information immediately after Dale’s release from jail on April 23rd, he was back to selling drugs.”
