DILLON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The Dillon County coroner has identified the victim in Sunday’s deadly crash that involved three vehicles on Interstate 95.
According to Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley, 19-year-old Zariah Rankin, from Fayetteville, NC, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash that happened around mile marker 187 on the southbound side of I-95.
According to Trooper Tyler Tidwell with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 11:20 p.m. Sunday and involved three vehicles: a GMC Sierra towing a boat, a Nissan Xterra and a Lexus.
Rankin was the driver of the Lexus. Two other people were injured in the crash.
