HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A two-alarm fire that caused severe damage to a home in the Carolina Forest area is under investigation, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.
Firefighters were called around 3:41 p.m. Tuesday to a home in the 5200 block of Harvest Run Way.
When WMBF News arrived at the scene, smoke could be seen billowing from the house.
Horry County Fire Rescue spokesperson Tony Casey said the fire started at the rear exterior of the home and made its way up to the roof.
Myrtle Beach Fire Department was also called in to assist.
Casey said there are no injuries reported. Two adults and two children have been displaced by the fire. They’re being helped by the American Red Cross of South Carolina.
The firefighters were also greatly appreciative of the residents in The Farm neighborhood who brought first responders cold drinks while they battled the flames.
