MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - After two rounds of storms on Mother’s Day, we are calming down and cooling down for the new work week.
A cold front moved through the region Sunday night and will offer up cooler temperatures and a significant drop in humidity through the middle of the week.
Today will see increasing sunshine and decreasing humidity through the day. High temperatures will also remain warm, reaching into the lower 80s. The effects of that cold front are really felt by Tuesday, as sunny skies, cooler temperatures and a drop in the humidity continue. Afternoon temperatures only reach into the upper 70s inland and along the coast. This will be the case on Wednesday as well. Nighttime temperatures will turn much cooler with overnight readins in the middle and upper 50s.
By Thursday through the upcoming weekend, the humidity will slowly start to become more noticeable. Shower chances don’t return until the upcoming weekend with just a few showers and storms at times. Highs return to the 80s and even 90s inland by the weekend.
