MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Much cooler temperatures and low humidity will continue through the middle of the week before temperatures start to climb once again.
After a cool start to Tuesday, afternoon high temperatures will feel comfortable with readings of the mid 70s. Low humidity will be the big story for both Tuesday and Wednesday. If you are looking for great weather, look no further than the next two days.
Tonight will see temperatures dropping all the way into the lower 50s inland and middle to upper 50s across the Grand Strand. It’s entirely likely it will not be this cool again until late September.
By Thursday through the weekend, the humidity will slowly start to become noticeable. Our winds will shift from out of the north, to out of the south and southwest. As a result, temperatures will start to rapidly climb. Thursday will see afternoon temperatures returning to the lower 80s. By Friday, temperatures will climb into the middle and upper 80s, and by the weekend, most inland areas will hit 90 while readings climb into the upper 80s near the beach. The humidity will increase as well adding to a summer-like feel. Despite the increasing humidity, the forecast through the weekend remains rain-free.
