LUMBERTON, NC (WMBF) – Two men arguing over money owed for weed led to a weekend shooting in Lumberton that injured one, according to police.
A release from the Lumberton Police Department states officers were called to 103 Washington St., around 1:50 a.m. Saturday after reports came in that a person had been shot.
When police arrived, they found the victim had been shot in the leg. The shooting reportedly was the result of an argument between the victim and another man over payment for marijuana, the release stated.
The victim’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening and the suspect was not on scene when officers arrived, police said.
