Local entertainer ‘Hypno Jimbo’ lands in jail on assault charge
A popular Myrtle Beach entertainer wound up behind bars this week.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A popular Myrtle Beach comic and entertainer wound up behind bars this week.

According to J. Reuben Long booking records James Allen Fox - or ‘Hypno Jimbo’ - was arrested and charged with one count of assault and 3rd degree battery on May 9. Fox was released Friday, May 10 on $1,000 bond.

​"If your looking for a fun night out on the town, this is the place to be...," reads the ‘About Us’ section on the website for Hypno Jimbo Entertainment LLC. The comedic hypnosis stage show lists no dates under the ‘Upcoming Events’ section.

WMBF News attempted to reach out to Fox for comment but there was no answer.
